organic make up
I mean like, i know it has no chemicals and stuff, but can it actually help your skin and repair it? please reply x
Yes, of course it can
First of all, unlike the regular makeup lines it has no harsh chemicals that would hurt. But there are also many nice organic formulas that utilize the power of nature (natural oils, vitamins, antioxidants, etc…) to treat the skin. The prime example would be products by Dr. Hauschka.
But to be fare, when people select organic makeup, they usually do so to avoid harming the skin. When you want repair, you'd be looking into organic skin care — creams, masks, cleansers, etc. Those are full of potent botanical ingredients that target various skin conditions, such as wrinkles, eczema, oiliness, dark circles, etc…
Hope this helps,
Julena

natural skincare
Does anybody have the names of some all natural skincare brands that I can get from Longs? I know about Burt's Bees, Avalon Organics, and Alba, but what are the others?? THanks!!!
P.S. Is natural skin care better for sensitive skin that has been "over-treated" in the past?
The only other natural brand I can think of that you didn't mention already is Aveeno, which is a brand I really like. Natural products aren't any better or worse for you skin. Some plant extracts can cause rashes, just like some chemicals can. Find products that work for you and that you believe in. It's that simple. Another favorite brand of mine is Neutrogena. It's not natural, but their products are good quality and do what they say they will do.

organic cosmetics
Just a quick survey regarding organic cosmetics:
1.What brand of organic beauty products do you currently use?
2.Are you satisfied with the quality of the products?
3.If Yes, what do you like best about the products you are using?
4.What determines the choice of brand of the organic cosmetic products?
5.How much do you spend on your organic cosmetics products every 3 months?
6.What quantity of beauty products do you purchase per transaction?
7.What improvement would you like to see in your current organic cosmetics brand?
By the way: this is for a class I'm doing and I appreciate any answers.
1. I’m currently using the Physicians Formula Organic Wear line, because it’s considerably cheaper than some of the other lines out there, but works well.
2.Yes, I have sensitive, breakout prone skin, and since I’ve been using these, I’ve seen a large improvement in my skin.
3.See above answer, oops
4. I wanted to try organic makeup, but didn’t want to buy one of the more expensive lines like Bare Minerals right away, in case I didn’t like it. I’m looking into buying some of it after the products I’m using currently, run out.
5.$60-100, but a lot of those are impulse purchases like eyeshadows and lip glosses. As far as my “essentials” go (foundation, concealer, mascara), I spend about $30-40 a month.
6.On average, 3-4 pieces.
7. I’ve noticed that since my foundation is loose powder, even though it gives excellent coverage, I have to make sure my skin is well moisturized before using it. If it isn’t, it can get a little dry looking, but overall that’s not a big problem.

organic beauty
I am petrified of the cancer risks that are linked to the chemicals in beauty products so I am very keen to stop using them and switch to some safer options, so I can still enjoy pampering myself without worrying about the long-term effects. I'm not picky about the price either so any ideas would be really helpful.
Try "The Body Shop"

Thanks a lot.

organic skincare
why?
organic skincare is absolutely the best. Of course it depends on the brand, however, natural ingredients should be the only ones to be putting on our skin.
A lot of products have harmful ingredients, which actually do the opposite of anti-aging, and cause more harm to our skin.
A great skincare newsletter that has information on topics like this is eliminateskinaging.com

organic make up
For the sake of this question it is ONLY about organic make up or lotion, (not food)
If you use it do you think it has improved your skin?
I started using only organic stuff 6 months ago and its seems like my skin has become more even and my pores smaller. I'm wondering what other people's experience has been with it.
I don't use organic cosmetics, but I use organic and vegan products for my skin. they have helped dramatically with blemishes and acne; it will benefit you very much.
Try going to Whole Foods/ Sprouts/ Central Market and look at their products.
EDIT: Sorry, my reply didn't work for some reason, but…
Alba Botanics is my favorite. They have a papya enzyme
mask that I use 3 times a week that just completely
soothes and heals the skin and it also dissolves dried
skin and oils/dirt. Also try Mychelles
(http://mychelleusa.com/) they have great products as
well.
I'm glad I could help!
