Is the brand Organic Wear a good organic make up brand?

Posted by: Susan Wilson - Natural Organic Makeup  :  Category: organic make up

I came across this site http://www.organicwearmakeup.com while searching for organic make up products. I've never used organic make up before because I don't know if it has better coverage than the other known make up brands (ie Mac, L'oreal, Cover girl, etc). I heard about minerals make up from a friend and I thought I could start using that too. Although Im not sure if they really are good for the skin and the environment as they claim to be. What do you guys think?

organic makeup is gentler on the skin, and better for the environment. Or at least they are a lot better than comon drugstore makeup products.

however, there are some types of makeup that are easily made organic, and others that aren't as good. Powders like powdered blushes, bronzers, and foundation work well. I didn't think the mascaras would be that good, but I bought a tube of the loreal bare naturale mascara and I love it, it has the same effect while making my eyelashes soft.

but things like cream concealers and eyeshadows aren't a great choice for organic products, they don't blend as well and can get cakey.

Skincare products really causing cancer?

Posted by: Susan Wilson - Natural Organic Makeup  :  Category: natural skincare

I hear so much about how natural skincare products are better, but really are they? I'm looking to prevent aging, and I like the brand Olay. Longterm will it really give me cancer like toxicity websites say? Should I keep using it?

beauty products in general can cause unfavorable effects to your skin based on the ingredients they use in their products.

however, the warnings you read in articles may be slightly exaggerating but nonetheless it's very true. because many beauty products contain cancer causing agents, it's not completely proven but may contribute to cancer longterm and in later life. It's kinda like.. smoking higher your risk to lung cancer.

Also, anti-aging skin products are not scientifically proven to be reliable or valid, it doesn't do any of the things they claim to do. essentially you're pretty much just putting average water and fragrance based cream on your face.

now down to the nitty gritty. Have a look at your products and see if you can find any of the following ingredients (harmful in one way or another):

talc/talcum powder
any properties of -paraben
bismuth
mineral oil
fragrance
propylene glycol
sodium lauryl sulfate
kaolin
glycerine
bentonite
lanolin

and here's a little soemthing about collagen/elastin
Derived from animal skins and ground-up chicken feet. Both of these ingredients form films that may suffocate and over-moisturize the skin. BAR SOAPS Made from animal fat and lye. May let bacteria feed and grow in it. May corrode & dry the skin.
Many of the hyped ingredients found in most cosmetic brands cannot penetrate the skin because of their high-molecular weight, so they are of little benefit. For example: procollagen, collagen, elastin, cross-linked elastin, and hyaluronic acids

organic, natural products are highly recommended.

solution: my mum uses this and it's been eliminating her wrinkles and actually closing her pores. Use home grown aloe vera. cut a chunk of the plant wash it, cut the prickles off and apply the translucent juice of the plant onto your face. the effect is impeccable!
