What are the advantages and disadvantages of organic skincare?

The obvious advantage is that there are no harmful ingredients, such as preservatives. Everything is good for your skin. The disadvantage is that if organic skincare is truly organic, it has a way shorter shelf life. I’ve made my own organic lotion and it lasted 3 months, as opposed to years that traditional lotion would last.

I remember reading in a magazine about how some organic soaps and stuff are very harsh on the skin. There’s a difference between all natural and organic.
